Our Story
Collin and Amy first met their Freshman year of college at the Navigator/Campus Crusade Formal. Collin's date was one of Amy's friends. Amy has no recollection of this first meeting, but Collin does...
Amy first remembers meeting Collin her Junior year shortly before Christmas when she was invited to watch The Goonies with some friends at some random apartment (turns out it was actually Collin's apartment). He was playing Nintendo when they were introduced (for the second time), and she was drinking Scooter's coffee.
Collin left for a semester in Costa Rica shortly after this second meeting. During this time, Amy became good friends with a group of guys and gals that met up every Saturday morning for Bible study. The guys in this group were all from a small town in Nebraska called Malcolm, while the girls were from Nebraska, Minnesota, Virginia, South Dakota, Michigan, etc etc. For those of you that might not know, Collin is from Malcolm, and Collin had attended this Saturday Morning Bible Study before he left for Costa Rica. Thus, upon his return, Collin and Amy spent many weekends together hanging out with good friends and getting into mischief.
On May 7th, 2010, Collin asked if he could take Amy to the Mill (coffee shop) to celebrate her graduation. What he didn't expect was that Amy would bring her sister-in-law, Amber, to this celebration. Foiled. Two days later, on May 9th, Collin called Amy and officially asked her out. Amy said yes. Then they watched Hook and ate cherry ice cream. The rest is history.
